Susan Howland was the Delegate to the 2012 Triennial Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana and brought the UTO offering to the convention Eucharist.

United Thank Offing Grant Awarded at the Triennial Meeting

The diocese of WMA received a $17,368.00 United Thank Offering Grant on behalf of the Diocese of Kumasi.  The grant is for installing Solar Back-up for the Mampong Babies Home.

ECW to sponsor a child at Our Little Roses Orphanage in Honduras

On November 16, 2011 the Diocese of  Western Massachusetts ECW collaborated  with the  Diocese of Massachusetts ECW and made a  3- year commitment to sponsor  three-year-old, Martha, at Our Little Roses Orphanage in Honduras.  Martha arrived at Our Little Roses in October 2011 with her sister Suyapa Elizabeth. If you wish to help with this sponsorship past our  3-year commitment ECW will match all donated funds directed to this ministry. Contact Susan at ecw.wma@gmail.com for more information and documentation.

A Few United Thank Offering Notes

Our Diocesan 2012 United Thank Offering was $ 11,086.79 with 37 Churches participating

Thanking God is at the heart of our prayers. Our Offering of thanks Unites US with others who seek to address compelling human need and extend the Church’s mission,

 “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.”

We are thrilled to tell you that the Grant Request for Solar Back-up electricity at the Mampong Babies Hospital for our companion diocese Kumasi, Ghana was fully funded for $17,368.00

The Spring UTO ingathering will be MAIL IN. The Spring United Thank Offering ingathering will be MAIL-IN. The UTO Board suggests the Sunday after the Ascension, this coming Spring, May 12th, 2013, as an ingathering date for parishes. Make check to: The Episcopal Diocese of WMA, with UTO in the memo, and mail by June 9, 2013 to: The Episcopal Diocese of WMA, ATTN: Esther Barker, Diocesan Accounting Manager, 37 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01103.
